the book giveaway contest thingie

In Hot PursuitIn honor of the print release of In Hot Pursuit we’re gonna have a little contest.

IHP is about a man who goes on vacation after a rough couple of years. While on said vacation, sure, he does get involved in a kidnapping plot, but he also meets the man of his dreams. (You can read more about the book here.)

So what’s your dream vacation like? Personally, I’ve always wanted to go to Italy, Florence especially, and I imagine I’d spend lots of time looking at art and pretending to be Dante.

Here’s the dilly: I am giving away one ebook and one autographed paperback.

In the comments of this post, write a sentence or two about what your ideal vacation would be like, assuming money’s no object. Then specify if you would prefer to win an ebook or a shiny new autographed paperback.

I will draw two winners at random around 7pm EST on Monday, June 28. I’ll announce it here and also email the winners, so be sure to put your email in the comment form (only I see it).

So that’s pretty straightforward, right? Good luck!

ETA: Some comments get caught in the moderation queue. I will try to approve them promptly, but will be away from a computer for large swaths of the weekend. So don’t panic if your comment doesn’t show up right away! It may take a few hours!

If money were not a problem, I would go to space. I’ve always wanted to bounce around on the moon, and I figure it’s the closest I’ll ever come to flying for real.

my dream vacation would be to travel the world for a year. i’d spend the first 3 months visiting all the well-known sites, the next 6 months going to smaller, out of the way places, the following 2 months revisiting all of my favorite places and the last month on a tropical island. and then i’d take a nap.

if selected, i’d like a shiny new autographed paperback, please!

My dream vacation would be to the England/Ireland/Scotland area to visit old castles. I love historical books, especially those set is these places and think it’s very romantic 🙂

I don’t mind either ebook or paperback, but if I have to chose one, I guess I’d go with paperback

Gosh, if money were not the object, I’d take 2 years off of work, and go on a cruise around the world. I’d spend at least 6 months in Scotland and Ireland in the country and viewing the lovely castles, then at least 6 months in Africa (where my parents were missionaries). I’d probably go to Rome and just sit inside the cathedrals and listen to the bells. It would be wonderful to live out of my backpack and make up stories about all my adventures!!

My preference is an autographed paperback (I just love the smell & feel of a good book!!)

I would go to Paris. I love the Eiffel Tower and all the other wonderful buildings.

I would love the ebook. I’m addicted to ebooks!

Dream vacation, likely involves a Tardis. On the more normal aspect, I’d love to visit, Greece, Italy, the UK and honestly spend a couple days in a few major Us cities, just enjoying them.

  7. Kyle says:

I’d have to make it a taste of life tour. First, I’d visit all of the places that I’ve always wanted to go, but have yet to visit: Switzerland, Egypt, South Africa, Morocco, Brazil, Argentina, Several Caribbean Islands, Alaska, Hong Kong, Dubai, and maybe even Antarctica and Iceland (not necessarily in that order, of course). Then I’d go back to the places that I’ve been before and fell in love with. Florence, Brindisi, Athens, Mykonos, Napa Valley, San Diego, Hawaii, London, Paris, Madrid, Stockholm, Tokyo, Several other Caribbean Islands…

Naturally, everything would be first class 🙂

Given the chance to win, I’d much prefer the physical copy vs. the eBook – At least until I can get my hands on a Kindle 🙂
